Diverticulitis Cure

Diverticulitis is a condition in which the mucous membranes lining the colon become inflamed, resulting in the formation of small, pouchlike areas called  diverticula in the large intestine. Once  diverticula form, they do not go away. The  diverticula themselves do not cause any symptoms, but if waste matter become trapped in the pouches, they can become infected or inflamed causing fever, chills and pain.

Diverticula typically form when a person is constipated.  Diverticulitis may be acute or chronic.

If you have diverticulitis you should begin a lemon drink regime immediately. Drink 1oz of fresh lemon with 8oz of purified or distilled water in the morning at least 15 minutes before you eat breakfast.

If you have a hard time making a bowel movement you could be in danger of developing diverticulitis. It is important that your bowel movements become regular and easy.

This can be accomplished through diet and supplements.

  1. First it is important to eliminate acid out of your body. Click on this link for acid control.
  2. Next a change of diet is needed. Eliminate all white or enriched wheat out of your diet. Eat only whole grain or sprouted grain bread. Eliminate all soy completely out of your diet. Click here for hazards of soy.
  3. The third and most important step is hydrating your body. It is important to drink 1/2 of your body weight in liquids. That means if you weigh 200lbs you would drink 100 ounces of liquids each day.
  4. Take 4 spirulina tablets by Solar each day
  5. Take Transfer Factor Plus 2 pills 3 times a day

You should add at least 500mg of magnesium each day to your diet. Also add prunes or raisins in your diet. This will help you attain regular, easy bowel movements.

Symptoms include:
  • Cramping
  • Bloating
  • Tenderness on the left side
  • Gas
  • Nausea
  • Constipation
  • Diarrhea
  • Constantly going to the restroom
  • Blood in the stool
Diverticulitis usually strikes people between the ages of 40 to 90. It is caused by a poor diet, gallbladder disease or obesity.
